I have been a gun collector for about 30 years and have seen *2* 1894 long rifles available for sale here in the area. 2. This begs the question, where did they all go once imported? The plains? Midwest? Canada? Floor's open.

Data free opinion here... The 94s had the shortest production run and likely experienced the hardest use in service. Many were re-arsenaled into 1896s and I suspect many more were simply destroyed following hard use during the SAW and PI. I'd guess that if you find an unmodified 94 rifle today in decent condition - chances are it was a presentation rifle or some such.

No worries, these things happen. True 1892 US Krags are even scarcer, as almost all of them were upgraded to the 1896 spec.
